Hello Friends and Family!

Thank you for all your encouragement and support as I set about training and completing the BP MS 150 this April 17-18th. This is a 180-mile bike ride from Houston to  Austin, Texas that raises money for Multiple Sclerosis. We will be starting out in Houston, staying overnight in La Grange and then biking right up to the Capital building the next day!

On this site I wanted to post more about how training is going and fundraising. I hope to raise more than the minimum $300 so I will keep you posted on how it goes! Thank you everyone for whatever support you can give. This ride makes a huge impact on the lives of many and on the work towards a cure. Also I am personally using this as a fitness goal as I enter my second year of trying to kick ass with diabetes. I appreciate any dollar amount and moral support you can offer. Thank you so much.

love,
Eva

Training is going well. I have added a spinning class at bicycle sports shop to the mix of long weekend bike rides,
gym cardio and weights and stationary biking.
Stephen Dew, Eric Harron and I are all members of the Energy Cyclers team out of Houston. We all attended
a very informative safety training Feb. 28th in Houston. I will need to ramp up the distances in the next few
weeks to get really ready.

My Dad has helped me get some more biking gear to protect myself and improve my rides, Thank you Daddy!
Also Jeremy has joined the St Davids team and we have been able to ride together a few times and we are
planning on doing the Rosedale ride in a few weeks. I have met lots of great new biking friends through training
like Cynthia. She is a great inspiration when we are riding - she always has a great attitude and is up for
anything - including more hills!

The latest training news: Jeremy and I did the Rosedale Ride this weekend (3/27). It was
62 miles of windy fun. The winds were super strong but Jeremy and I stayed focused
- though I did whine a bit. 30 mph winds ain't got nothin on us! It was a lot of fun and
well organized and I think that it is one I would definitely recommend to any friends
looking to try a ride in the future, they have 8, 17, 24, 42, and 62 mile routes to choose.

Also I recieved my first pledge! thank you Spencer!!

If you want to know more about what I am doing to prepare or about fun Austin bike
routes, or how to come and cheer us on in April when we ride into Austin - let me know.
